We are a farming family from Shropshire and were one of the first farms in the UK to convert to organic farming.
We have a mixed organic farm, with a dairy herd of 220 cows and we grow beans for the cows and wheat and oats for sale through our Mill.
The Farm is run by Ginny Mayall and her husband Ian Anderson – third generation of the Mayall family to farm at Pimhill (see Our History).
Richard Mayall is still very much involved. On the farm side of the business Roger and Jimmy run the dairy herd, Fred and Andrew oversee the arable work and Sue is the farm secretary. In the Mill, Merv is our Miller, Len is Mr Muesli, Pat and Beat are our trusty packers and Katie runs the Mill office.
Ian and Ginny married two years ago and now have a combined family of six children. Charlotte, Sophie, Geordie, Jessie, Nell and Coco. Sophie features on our website because she has helped to create recipes for our products. If you have recipes to share she would love to hear from you!
All six children have been involved with the rebrand and relaunch of the Pimhill Product range.
Pimhill Farm is situated on land first bought by the Lee family in 1196 from the Monks of Lilleshall. The Lee family motto was “Always Mindful of the Future” which is just as fitting a motto for the Farm today.
We have gone to great lengths to try to find the most environmentally friendly packaging that we possibly can.
We are trying our best to farm sustainably with good care for the soil, animal welfare and wildlife husbandry top of our agenda. We try our best but are far from being perfect and we still love a nice glass of dry white wine!
